Payroll & HR Administrator

PAYROLL & BENEFITS COORDINATOR

We have an immediate need for a Contract (six months) Payroll and Benefit Coordinator for a client in the Syracuse area.  The role would consist of processing a bi-weekly payroll utilizing the Paychex payroll system including computing, entering and transmitting payroll data.  You would also be processing and entering employee benefit enrollment and changes.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling employee inquires with a high level of customer service.
  • Administer all aspects of payroll. Review reports to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
  • Ensure accurate insurance benefit deductions are taken
  • Review weekly 401k and HSA contributions for accuracy and correct discrepancies
  • Track new employee benefit eligibility and notify them when they become eligible

Qualifications Profile

  • 2+ years of payroll experience - utilizing Paychex or ADP payroll systems
  • Strong Excel skills
  • General knowledge or employment laws with good grasp of local, state and federal regulations governing payroll
  • AAS Degree in Accounting/Business Administration a plus
