We are partnered with a Manufacturing Company in Clinton, NY that is looking to bring on a new Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to enforce OSHA and Corporate regulations.  As the EHS Manager you will oversee the development and implementation of Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety programs and for ensuring compliance with and reporting to appropriate regulatory agencies.  To be qualified for this role you must have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Safety &/ Environmental with 3+ years’ experience OR 10+ years progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing setting.


  • Prevents accidents by investigating accidents; identifying causes of accidents and hazards; developing preventive measures and practices; conferring with insurance carriers; managing safety committee; preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Prepares staff by developing and disseminating preventive information; conducting training; providing consultations.
  • Represents the organization by attending hearings; presenting information.
  • Maintains safe facilities by providing information relevant of a manufacturing facility, and the installation of equipment; conducting inspections; recommending improvements.
  • Develop and implement Corporate policy in all areas of applicable safety and environmental regulations as well as chemical safety
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing regulations; recommending new procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional and technical publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances safety and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Prevents OSHA citations by studying and interpreting regulations and standards; conducting inspections; identifying problems; developing solutions; accompanying and working with inspectors.
  • Provides safety information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; publishing reports; writing newspaper articles and special bulletins; maintaining osha records; submits OSHA reports.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety and Environment or ten years relevant experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity and understanding of Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements and reporting
  • Familiarity and understanding of International environmental laws and related industry standards
