We would like to invite you to join us in supporting the Little Hats, Big Hearts campaign. Through this initiative, volunteers from around the country are joining the American Heart Association, in connection with The Children’s Heart Foundation, to celebrate American Heart Month by knitting and crocheting RED hats for babies born in February at participating hospitals. Little Hats, Big Hearts ™, honors babies, moms and heart healthy lives in a very special way. Supporters are knitting and crocheting red hats to be given out to thousands of babies during American Heart Month in order to empower moms to live heart healthy lives and to help their children do the same.
This cause is near and dear to the CPS Recruitment family and we would love to have anyone in your workplace help us out.
Our co-worker Kelly had a premature baby in May of this year. He spent one long month in the NICU and was unable to wear the baby clothes she had purchased for him — “hospital rules”. She remembers how special it was for her to be able to pick out a hat and blanket made by volunteers during this time. This act of kindness empowered her, at a time she felt helpless with her baby in an incubator.
Our caring crew at CPS Recruitment is taking lessons from a co-worker to crochet these hats and would appreciate any donations from people who crochet, or know someone who does.
It’s a great program for a very worthy cause, and a positive memory Kelly will always remember. Let’s brighten someone else’s day!
Please contact Kelly for pick-up or if you wish to drop hats off at 315-883-5475.
